Are You Ready?

Lyceum on blue background. Text says Are you ready? Pledge.

We invite every member of the university and the Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) community to take this voluntary pledge to follow safety guidelines that reduce the spread of COVID-19. Our symbolic, collective commitment to learn, listen and participate in these efforts will help our community stay healthy, safe and successful. This isn’t about the individual; it’s about all of us.

“Are You Ready?” Pledge

I pledge to follow health and safety guidelines to protect the university and surrounding communities.

I pledge to do my part to protect my health and the health of those around me.

I pledge to show respect and compassion for every individual.

I pledge to hold others to these same standards.

I’M READY to take responsibility for my actions that directly affect the safety of everyone around me.

Why is the “Are You Ready?” Pledge important?

The “Are You Ready?” pledge acknowledges that we’re all responsible for taking care of ourselves and each other. It was initiated and written by University of Mississippi students to unite the university and the LOU community in the fight against COVID-19.

How can I let others know I took the pledge?

How can I protect myself and others?

The university has provided COVID-19 Campus Guidelines to support the UM community in protecting the health of UM students, faculty, staff and LOU community members. It’s essential that everyone do their part by following these safety guidelines to protect the health and wellness of the university and LOU community members. Your decisions impact everyone around you!
