The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II)

April 5, 2021 Update: HEERF II funds allocated to UM have been distributed and the HEERF II application process for UM is now closed.

OVERVIEW

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II) was authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (CRRSAA) and signed into law on December 27, 2020. An allocation was provided to the University of Mississippi for awarding financial aid grants to students. These funds were for any component of a student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arose due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or childcare. In keeping with federal guidance, top priority was given to students showing exceptional financial need on the FAFSA.
