Overview
This document outlines parameters and protocols for resuming in-person instruction and daily operations at the University of Mississippi (UM) under the Safe Return order of Governor Tate Reeves’s reopening plan. Aspects of this plan will continue to evolve as we receive more direction from local, state, and federal governing bodies. Our goal is to continue an on-campus learning environment with the safety and well-being of our campus population as top priority.
UM’s parameters and protocols will be aligned and consistent with ordinances of the City of Oxford and Lafayette County, as well as the State of Mississippi’s reopening plans. UM will also follow recommendations from the White House Opening Up America Again guidelines, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), the IHL Safe Start Task Force, and the American College Health Association (ACHA).
